Roger Dick “Dickie” Hadley, 71 of San Angelo, passed away Friday morning, November 25, 2016 at his residence in Veribest, Texas.
He was born January 31, 1945 in San Angelo to Dick Vernon and Ida Pauline (Luckenbach) Hadley. After high school and college, Dickie began his 29-year career with Levi Strauss in San Angelo, Midland, and Roswell, New Mexico. On March 5, 1966, he married Diane Lisso in Rowena, TX. They shared fifty loving years together. He was on the board of the Concho County Livestock Show, past President of the Optimist Club of Roswell, member of Hermann Sons in Rowena, a member of the North Concho County Hunters Association, and past President of the Veribest Athletic Booster Club. He was an active member of the First United Methodist Church in Paint Rock.
Dickie was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his wife, Diane of Veribest; his daughters, Debbie Cooper and husband Robert of Pasadena, Deanna Schaefer, and Donna Taylor and husband Fred all of San Angelo; his grandchildren Clay and Coye Schaefer, Abby and Baylee Taylor; his sister, Chyrel Kennedy and husband Tom of Arlington; his brother, Shultz Hadley and wife Norma of Cleburne; and numerous step-grandchildren, step-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Visitation for family and friends will be from 6:00-8:00 pm on Sunday, November 27th at Lange Funeral Home in Ballinger. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 pm Monday at the First United Methodist Church in Paint Rock with Bro. Mike Thompson officiating and Rev. Don Sessom assisting. Burial will follow at Protestant Cemetery in Rowena.
