Lillian Evelyn Block

Lillian Evelyn Block, 81, of Olfen, Texas passed away Saturday, December 17, 2016 at Ballinger Memorial Hospital.

She was born on March 14, 1935 to Frank and Lillie (Havlak) Zak in Rowena, Texas. After high school, Lillian married James Arnold Block on April 28, 1956 in Rowena. They shared over sixty years together. Lillian was a homemaker and caregiver. She and Jimmy were faithful members of Our Lady of Mount Carmel in Houston from 1962 to 2015 when they moved back to Olfen where she was a faithful member of St. Boniface Catholic Church.

She is preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Melinda Naugle; a brother, Victor Zak; and a sister, Ruby Zak.

Lillian is survived by her husband, James; her children, Martha Lynn Block of Austin, TX, Michelle Lile of Kansas City, and Steven James Block of Olfen; a son-in-law, Frank Naugle of Kinnelon, New Jersey; grandchildren, Tyler Lile, Taylor Lile, and Lauren Lile all of Overland Park, KS. Christian Naugle and Lindsay Naugle both of Kinnelon, New Jersey; brothers, Bobby Zak of Rowena, TX and Bill Zak of Del Rio, TX.

Rosary will be recited at 6:00 pm on Thursday, December 22 at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Olfen. Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 am on Friday, December 23 at St. Boniface Catholic Church with Fr. Ariel Lagunilla officiating. Burial will follow at a later date.
