Mary Odell Mcnelly

Mary Odell McNelly, 88, of Ballinger, Texas passed away Monday, April 17, 2017 at Ballinger Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center.

She was born October 3, 1928 to Joseph E. and Etta (Burt) Stark in Texarkana, Arkansas. After high school, Mary worked in a factory during World War II and later graduated from cosmetology school and worked as a hairdresser for many years. She married A.C. McNelly and he preceded her in death in 1957.

Mary is preceded in death by her husband, A.C.; a granddaughter, Sally Ann McNelly; and ten brothers and sisters.

She is survived by her sons, Roy Edward McNelly and wife, Carolyn of Rowena, Henry “Alvis” McNelly of Santa Paula, CA., and Ronald Wayne McNelly and wife, Linda of Oregon; and her sister, Bennie Pritchard of Mesquite, TX.

Visitation will be held from 7:00-8:00 pm on Friday at Lange Funeral Home, 1910 Hutchings Avenue (Hwy 67). Services will be at 1:00 pm on Saturday at the First United Methodist Church in Ballinger. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery.
