Manuel Castillo

Manuel Castillo, 76, of Ballinger, Texas passed away Wednesday, August 23, 2017 at his residence.
He was born June 4, 1941 to Panfilo and Elizea (Tellez) Castillo. Manuel married Esperanza Trujillo in June of 1960. He was a member of St. Mary’s Star of the Sea Catholic Church in Ballinger. Manuel enjoyed collecting toy cars, horses, and bulls. He especially loved bull riding and anything to do with rodeos.
Manuel is preceded in death by three sons, Panfilo, Manuel, and Martin Castillo; his parents; and his brother, Aurelio Castillo.
He is survived by his wife, Esperanza of Ballinger; his children, Margarita Castillo of Matugeo Michocan, Maria Juana Castillo of Ballinger, Rosamaria Vera of San Antonio, TX, Alfredo Castillo of Ballinger, Esperanza Lemus of Ballinger, and Rosalinda Pedraza of Omaha, Nebraska; his sisters, Ermelinda Castillo of Matugeo Michocan, Rosa Hernandez of California, Josefina Leon of Roundrock, Illinois, and Socorro Lemus of Berryville, Arkansas; twenty fve grandchildren and twenty eight great-grandchildren.
Visitation for family and friends will be held from 6:00-7:00 pm on Monday, August 28 at Lange Funeral Home in Ballinger. Services will be held at 10:00 am on Tuesday, August 29 at Lange Funeral Home Chapel with burial following at Latin American Cemetery in Ballinger.
