Vera Dorcille Miller

Heaven joyfully welcomed the precious soul of Vera “Bea” Dorcille Miller on October 16, 2017. Vera was born in Terry County, TX on November 19, 1932 to C B and Pauline Stuart. In 1951, she graduated from Levelland High School, where she was active in theater, pep squad, and Future Homemakers of America. After graduation, she married Ron Miller, with whom she had three children that she adored: Jackie, Terry, and Leigh. Vera was a longtime resident of Lubbock TX, where she worked as an employment counselor for the Lubbock State School from 1972-1995. After her retirement, she enjoyed spending time with family and friends, reading, and taking care of her beloved cat, Buddy. She always had a smile, a wink, and an “I love you” for her loved ones and will forever be remembered for her kind nature and ability to make everyone in the room feel loved and appreciated. Vera was preceded in death by her parents, C B and Ruth Stuart; brothers, Durrell and DC Stuart; and grandson, Alexander “Buddy” Miller. She will be fondly remembered by her children Jackie (Julie) Miller and Terry (Clarence) Crabb of Miles, TX, and Leigh Ann Tadlock of Shallowater, TX; grandchildren Shelly Trout, Stacey Thompson, Nathan Little, Charles Burleson, Tiffany Martinez, Jaqlynn Puente, and Wade Tadlock; and eight great-grandchildren. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to Senior Care of San Angelo and San Angelo Community Medical Center.
