Pauline Mcqueen Bradshaw

August 8, 1924 — November 8, 2017

“Let not your heart be troubled, you believe in God, believe also in Me, In My Father’s House are many mansions; if it were not so ; I would have told you, I go to prepare a place for you; I will come again and receive you to myself; that where I am, there you may be also.” (John 14:13) On Wednesday, November 8th, 2017 at age 93, Pauline’s mansion was completed and God called her home. She is now in the presence of her Lord and Savior.

Pauline was born on August 8, 1924, in Ballinger, Texas to Benjamin Urban and Nora Maggie (Turner) McQueen. She was one of eleven children, outliving each of her siblings. Pauline lived her entire life in Ballinger. She was a homemaker and a hard worker. She liked a pretty yard and flower gardens and could out work most when it came to her yard. Pauline’s love was cooking. Even though she cooked many delicious meals, her specialty was cakes and pies. Her German chocolate cakes and fried peach pies were favorites with her family and friends. Word got around fast when she was making fried pies. Her door was always open for family, friends and neighbors to come sit at their table even if it was just for a cup of coffee. Pauline loved her family and had a special love for her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and her great-great grandson Bowen. He was the apple of her eye. When Bowen would come to visit, Pauline’s eyes would light up and her facial expression was of pure joy. Pauline was a member of the First Christian Church of Ballinger. For many years Pauline was a faithful caretaker of her late husband John Bradshaw.

Pauline was preceded in death by her parents, three husbands: Ralph Bradley, Wayne Ransbarger, and John Bradshaw and her four brothers and six sisters.

She is survived by her daughters, Scarlotte Mikeska and her husband Brent of San Angelo, Judy McKinney and Rick Hoelscher of Ballinger; Step-son, Ronnie Bradshaw and Vickie of Austin; her five grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren, and three great-great grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Also a special thanks to Lisa Banfield for her exemplary care.

Visitation for family and friends will be held from 6:00 to 7:00 pm on Friday, November 10th at Lange Funeral Home in Ballinger. Services will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, November 11th at Lange Funeral Home Chapel with Bobby Broyles and Johnny Bradshaw officiating. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Ballinger.
