Jorge Villarreal, Sr.

Jorge Villarreal, Sr., 82, of Winters, Texas passed away Thursday, January 4, 2018 at his residence.

He was born February 22, 1935 to Thomas and Maria (Olivas) Villarreal in Del Rio, Texas. He married Carmen Guzman in 1971 in Del Rio. He was a welder, by trade, for most of his life. Jorge was an active member of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church in Winters. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and the Guadalupanos.

Jorge is preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers, Joaquin Villarreal and Tomas Villarreal.

He is survived by his wife, Carmen of Winters; his children, Elizabeth Sanchez and husband, Teodoro of San Angelo, TX, Dora Moncibais and husband, Armando of Snyder, TX, Jorge Villarreal, Jr. and wife, Cassandra of San Angelo, Martin Villarreal and wife, Christy of San Angelo, and Rosie Moreno and husband, Isaac, Jr. of Winters; 15 grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren. Also surviving are four sisters-in-law, two brothers-in-law, two nephews, one niece, and four cousins.

Rosary will be recited at 6:00 pm on Friday at Lange Funeral Home Chapel in Ballinger. Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 am on Saturday at St. Mary Catholic Church in Ballinger. Burial will follow at Lakeview Cemetery in Winters.
