Alene May Watson

Alene May Watson, 77, of Winters, Texas passed away Wednesday, January 24, 2018 at Central Texas Nursing and Rehabilitation in Ballinger.
She was born October 27, 1940 to Edwin and Virgie (Sparks) in Kerrville, Texas. Alene married George Watson on November 2, 1962 and they shared forty-nine years together before his passing on November 16, 2011. She worked as an assembly line worker at Drys Manufacturing. Alene was a member of the First Baptist Church in Winters. She was an active volunteer with the church, as well as, helping with Meals On Wheels.
Alene is preceded in death by her husband, George and her parents.
She is survived by her children, Barbara Covey and husband, Bobby of Brady, Loretta Horton and husband, Virgil of Wilmeth, Donna Plumley and husband, Kenneth of Ballinger, and Wallace Watson of Winters; a brother, Luke Colbath of Winters; sisters, Maudie Fenwick of Winters, Faye Anderson of Ingram, and Mildred Duncan of Paris; twelve grandchildren and twenty-two great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 on Saturday, January 27 at the First Baptist Church in Winters.
