Arvena Lee Mcwilliams

Arvena Kendrick McWilliams, age 83, of Ballinger passed away Thanksgiving afternoon, November 26, 2009 in the Ballinger Memorial Hospital surround by her family.

Arvena Lee was born August 21, 1926 in Brownwood, Texas to Bascom Murrah and Minnie Pearl (Morgan) Kendrick. She married her hometown sweetheart, Zane Grey McWilliams, on September 6, 1945 in San Francisco, California. He preceded her in death on December 13, 2008. She was a homemaker and a member of the Church of Christ.

She is survived by her son, Brent McWilliams and wife, Ruth, of Marfa; Her daughter, Karen Ciancarelli, of Midland; and by five grandchildren, a great source of pride and joy: Jason Mark Haley, O’Lita Rey, Zane Alan McWilliams, Ryan Brent McWilliams, and Leah Marie McWilliams. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, November 30, 2009 at the Garden of Memories Cemetery in Ballinger with Max Pratt officiating.
