Zana Pearl Longmire Coffey Bradley, age 78, of Paint Rock passed away January 16, 2010 at Community Hospital in San Angelo, Texas after complications from open heart surgery. Zana’s family was by her side as she was called home.
Zana was born Christmas Night 1931 in Mangam, Oklahoma, the daughter of Mary Lou Herring and Clarence C. Longmire. Zana was a role model of strength and Christian living throughout her life for her family. She gave her children a storybook childhood as a stay-at-home mom ensuring that Christian values were first and foremost. She was an exceptional homemaker, an excellent cook, and a seamstress. Some of her many hobbies included raising horses, quilting, photography, hunting, fishing and collecting.
Although Zana’s commitment was to her family and her home, she had a number of opportunities to work in the community. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Paint Rock, Secretary and Treasurer of the Alathean Sunday School, the Board of Directors for the Paint Rock Cemetery Association, and a volunteer for the Harry B. Crozier Memorial Library.
Zana leaves a host of family and friends across Texas. She is survived by her husband Marris Bradley, sons Darrell G. (Debbie) Coffey of Monahans and Terry L. Zana will be missed so much by her husband Marris. For the last 18 years they lived their heaven on earth on the Coffey Ranch near the Concho River. Her family and friends are so fortunate to have known her heart, her spirit, and her no-nonsense practical approach to good everyday living.
