Daniel Henry Beach

Daniel Henry Beach, age 79, of Fredericksburg and formerly of Rowena, passed away Tuesday, March 16, 2010 in Fredericksburg.

He was born January 14, 1931 in Westphalia, Texas to Eugene and Marie (Sokolowski) Beach, and his parents raised a large, lively family of nine. Daniel and Josephine Benavides were married September 25, 1952 in Laredo. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War, achieving the rank of staff sergeant.

Danny and Jo and their family lived in Laredo for many years, where he was employed as a dental lab technician until his retirement in 1980. After moving to the Rowena-Ballinger area, Danny again worked for a time as a dental lab technician in San Angelo. He and his wife lived in Fredericksburg the last few years to be closer to their children.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Catherine Lange, and a brother, Rupert J. Beach.

Danny is survived by his loving, devoted family; his wife of 52 years, Jo of Fredericksburg; daughters, Karen Beach and husband, Jon Krugh, of Fredericksburg and
Janice Beach and husband, James Tilghman, of Louisiana; son, David Beach and wife, Nancy, of Colorado Springs, Colorado; six grandchildren, Alex Garcia, Tyler Edmunds, Amy Robinson, Kristi Robinson, Samantha Beach, and Nathaniel Beach; and two great- grandchildren, Ryleigh and Catharine.

Also surviving are brothers, Bernard Beach and wife, Grace, of Rowena, and Norbert Beach of Truth or Consequences, New Mexico; sisters, Julietta Holtman of Grand Prairie, Eugenia Lange of Rowena, Margie Zentner of Rowena, and Anna Marie Haechten and husband, Marvin, of Odessa.

Rosary for Daniel Beach will be recited Thursday, March 18 at 7:00 p.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Rowena. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, March 19 also at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Rev. Chinnapparaj Mariasavary officiating. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Rowena.
