Mary Louise Foster Holland finished her earthly journey on Tuesday, April 20, 2010.
Mary was born to Dee and Katherine Cauble Foster on January 20, 1926 in Big Spring, Texas. Her gentle smile and gentle spirit brought joy to those who knew her. She enjoyed reading her Bible and her novels, but her greatest joy was spending time with her family.
She was preceded in death by her husband, H. J. “Red” Holland; her daughter, Vicki Holland Canfil; her parents and both siblings.
Mary is survived by her two sons, Cap Holland and wife, Dianne, Tony Holland and wife, Debbie, all of Brookshire Community; nine grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and her nieces and nephews.
Visitation for family and friends will be from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 22 at Lange Funeral Home in Ballinger. A graveside celebration of Mary’s life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, April 23 at Mt. Victory Cemetery in Brookshire Community with Paul Shero officiating.
