Joe Lloyd Sharp

Joe Lloyd Sharp, 80, of Ballinger passed away Monday, June 7, 2010 at Runnels County Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Ballinger.

He was born August 26, 1929 in Scurry, Texas to Roy Cecil and Lois (Howard) Sharp. He worked in the oil field most of his life.

He was preceded in death by his parents; three children, James L., Randy, and Ronny Sharp; and by a brother, Gene Sharp.

Joe is survived by children, Joey Sharp of Arkansas, JoAnn Waddle of Perryton, Robert Sharp of Arkansas, and Renee Martin of San Marcos; sisters, Floye Sharp of Ballinger, Lois Burleson and husband, Clay, of El Dorado, Loye Locket of San Angelo, and Linda Prosise of Ballinger; brothers, Bobby Sharp of Ballinger, and Leon Sharp of Pecos; and sister-in-law, Shirley Sharp of Rowena. Also surviving are numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be conducted Wednesday, June 9 at 10:00 a.m. at Evergreen Cemetery in Ballinger with Bro. Bobby Broyles officiating.
