Lela Faye Jacob

Lela Faye Jacob, 93, of Austin passed away Tuesday, June 8, 2010 at Park Bend Health Center in Austin.

She was born June 25, 1916 in Jacksonville, Texas to John Leven and Sally (Deaton) Hoover. She and Roy Jacob were married November 11, 1941 in Temple. She graduated from Scott and White and worked as a registered nurse at hospitals in Temple, Ballinger and San Angelo.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and two sisters, Johnnie Burton and Florine Silvey.

Faye is survived by her sons, Roy Thomas Jacob and his wife, Laura, of Dallas, John Kelley Jacob and his wife, Shirley, of Austin; one grandson, Kelley John Jacob and his fiancée, Frances Campo, of Hampton, Virginia; and a sister, Helen Warren of Alvin.

Visitation will be Thursday, June 10 from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Lange Funeral Home in Ballinger. A graveside service will be conducted Friday, June 11 at 10:00 a.m. at Ballinger Evergreen Cemetery.
