Billy Allen Kline

Billy Allen Kline, 67, of Ballinger passed away Tuesday, July 13, 2010 at Shannon Medical Center in San Angelo.

He was born January 16, 1943 in Harlingen, Texas to R. D. and Laverne (Holland) Kline. He and Madelyn Thompson Hobdy were married April 18, 1997 in Coleman. Billy was a mechanic and a member of Glory Road Cowboy Church.

His parents and a step-son, Corwin Hobdy, preceded him in death.

Billy is survived by his devoted wife, Madelyn of Ballinger, and his children: Brenda Conner and husband, Jerry; David Hobdy and wife Carole; Lou Andra Hobdy and Jeff Jackson; Laura Dean and husband, Charly. Also surviving are sisters, Nelda Halfmann and husband, Lee, and Judy Bingham; brothers, Johnny Kline and wife, Kay, and Tommy Kline and wife, Joy; and five grandsons, two granddaughters, and nine great-grandchildren.

Visitation for family and friends will be Wednesday, July 14 from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Lange Funeral Home in Ballinger. A special memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 17 at 2:00 p.m. at Glory Road Cowboy Church in Ballinger with Myron Halford officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations be made to Vista Care Hospice, the American Cancer Society, or a favorite charity.
