Elizabeth Ueckert, 95, of Ballinger passed away Friday, August 6, 2010 at Runnels County Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Ballinger after a long and full life.
She was born October 30, 1914 in Buckholts, Texas to William Eugene and Sarah Cordelia (Cherry) Coley. Elizabeth and Richard William Ueckert were married August 6, 1934 in Ballinger. He preceded her in death December 5, 1999. She was a homemaker and a longtime member of the First Baptist Church in Ballinger.
She was also preceded in death by her son, William “Bill” Ueckert; grandson, Jeffrey William Ueckert; great-grandson, Trent William Ueckert; a brother, W. T. Coley, and a sister, Doris Good.
Elizabeth is survived by daughter-in-law, Becky Ueckert, granddaughter, Lisa Willingham and husband, Mark, and grandson, David Ueckert and wife, Misty, all of Ballinger. Also surviving are great-grandchildren, Meagan, Jessica, and Katelyn Willingham, and Allie Ueckert; sister, Elaine Underwood of Garland; and special friend and caregiver, Lynn Schwertner.
The family extends special thanks to the staff of Runnels County Rehabilitation and Nursing Center.
Memorial donations may be made to Trent’s Retreat or a favorite charity.
Funeral services will be Sunday, August 8 at 1:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church Chapel with Brother Bobby Broyles officiating. Burial will follow in Ballinger Evergreen Cemetery.
