Frankie Jean Sheard

Frankie Jean Sheard, 72, of Ballinger passed away Monday, August 16, 2010 at her residence.

She was born October 28, 1937 in Sweetwater to John Henry and Josephine (McDonald) Olsteen. She worked for several years as a clerk. She and Raymond Sheard were married April 10, 1981 in Houston. Frankie loved Jesus and played an important part in the salvation of her siblings. She sang and played the guitar and composed music. One of her favorites was a song she wrote about an American veteran She was a member of the Church of God.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a grandson.

Frankie is survived by her husband, Raymond of Ballinger; her children, Kenneth Lee Zollars of Austin, Robert Joseph Zollars of Houston, and Melinda Kay Zollars of Indiana; a sister, Patsy Jo Calver of Sweeetwater; and one grandchild.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, August 18 at 10:00 a.m. at Lange Funeral Home Chapel in Ballinger. A graveside service and burial will be at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday in the Sweetwater Cemetery.
