Johnnie Ruth Gallagher Bramley, 84, of Brownwood and formerly of Ballinger passed away Wednesday, September 8, 2010 at Oak Ridge Manor in Brownwood.

She was born April 28, 1926 in Abilene to John M. and Jewel (Hitt) Jones.
Johnnie and Edward F. “Eddie” Gallagher were married May 2, 1947 in Ballinger and together they owned and operated a printing company, News Printing, in Ballinger for over 25 years. Mr. Gallagher passed away December 4 1990. She continued to operate the print shop herself until 1999. She married Howard Bramley in Ballinger on September 7, 1997, and he preceded her in death March 16, 2003. Also preceding her in death were her parents and a brother, Curtis Jones.

Johnnie was a long-time, faithful member of Seventh Street Baptist Church and will be fondly remembered by church members and the townspeople of Ballinger for her ready smile, her loving heart, and her joyful spirit.

Funeral services will be Friday, September 10 at 2:00 p.m. at Seventh Street Baptist Church in Ballinger with Rev. David Williams officiating. Burial will follow in Ballinger Evergreen Cemetery.

She is survived by her daughter, Karen Bly and husband, Bill, of Brownwood; son, Eddie Gallagher, Jr. and wife, Rebecca, of Hanahan, SC; sisters, Evelyn Drake of Ballinger and Edna Hunter of Mohave Valley, AZ. Also surviving are grandchildren, Kyle and Cody Holman, Matthew Bly, Shawna Brown, and Kevin Gallagher, several great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.

Memorials may be made to the Ballinger Humane Society, Seventh Street Baptist Church Youth Group, or a favorite charity.
