Buddy Moore officiating. Services will be under the direction of Lange Funeral Home. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Norton Lions Club.

Lucius, the eldest of two children, was born August 22, 1916 in Ballinger to Lee and Una Allen Evans. He was raised south of Ballinger and graduated from Ballinger High School in 1933. He attended the University of Texas at Austin, intending to become a pharmacist, but he had to withdraw after one semester. He worked at a drug store in Odessa and then for Bailey Drug in Ballinger as a soda jerk.

He met and married his true love (other than fishing), the beautiful Evelyn Branham, on February 6, 1938. He began farming and ranching at Norton on leased land and then later bought the home farm and ranch from his dad. Years later he sold his stock and leased the farm and ranch but continued to live on the land. He was a long-time member of the Norton Methodist Church, serving as a trustee/steward. Later when the church closed, his membership was moved to Ballinger First Methodist. He was a trustee of the Norton School Board and served as president for several years. He was also a founding member of the Norton Lions Club and recently received his fifty-five year pin.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, and his sister, Zelma Lee Lange.

Lucius is survived by his son, Alan Evans of Norton, and his daughter, Nancy Lee Good and husband, Deril, of San Angelo. Survivors also include grandchildren, Todd Evans of Austin; Scott Evans of New York City; Joy Evans of Sacramento, California; Kevin Good and wife, Karen, of Midland; Lisa Casillas and husband, Leonard, of Seymore; Vanessa Wood and husband, Lance, of Round Rock; Dru Williams and wife, Paulina, and Angela Morgan and husband, Nathan, all of Austin.
