Felipe Villarreal, Sr., 91, of Ballinger passed away Thursday, November 18, 2010 in a Fort Worth hospital.

He was born on March 26, 1919 in Del Rio to Enrique and Adelpha (Salines) Villarreal.
He married Julia Maldonado on October 18, 1942 in San Angelo. She preceded him in death on May 7, 2008.
He worked for the Sante Fe Railroad for over 25 yrs.

Prayer service and visitation will be Sunday, November 21 from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Lange Funeral Home in Ballinger. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, November 22 at Seventh Street Baptist Church in Ballinger with burial in Evergreen Cemetery.

He is survived by a son, Felipe Villarreal, Jr. and wife, Linda, of Ballinger, and a daughter, Nelida Herrera and husband, Humberto, of Saginaw, Texas; a brother, Juan Villarreal of Ft. Worth; Surviving grandchildren are Nathan and Shelly Villarreal of San Angelo; Stephen and Jennifer Ortiz of Dallas, Texas; David and Thursic Villarreal of Paint Rock; James and Amanda Herrera of Saginaw, Texas; Patricia Ann Villarreal of San Angelo, and Fidel Villarreal, Jr. of Ballinger. Great-grandchildren are Anthony Villarreal, Sasha Nicole Villarreal, Allysa Nicole Villarreal, D. J. Villarreal, R. J. Villarreal, Sophia Olivia Ortiz, Aiden Conner Ortiz, Anthony Fidel Villarreal, Caleb Villarreal, Randy Joe Villarreal and David Villarreal.
