Allan James Haechten

Allan James Haechten, 79, of San Angelo, Texas, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 16, 2024.

He was born on November 22, 1944, to August Fred and Ella Louise (Mueller) Haechten in Ballinger, Texas.  He married the love of his life Arlene Kay Klaus in a ceremony on August 29, 1963, in San Angelo, Texas.  Allan was a wonderful husband, father, and an even better grandfather.  He was a dedicated hard worker with a work ethic that was unlike any other.  He kept a beautiful yard and spent a lot of time working on it.   An outdoorsman, Allan loved to fish any chance he had, as well as play golf.

Allan is preceded in death by his parent August and Ella Louise Haechten, his siblings August Haechten II, Louise Kotlick, and Mary Ann Halfman, as well as his daughter Arlene Katherine Haechten.

He is survived by his wife Arlene, and his children, daughter Denise Haechten of San Angelo, Collette Vickery of San Angelo, and son Allan James Haechten Jr., of Midland.  Allan will be greatly missed by his grandchildren, Zane Hanna, Bryce Hanna, Collin Hanna, Parker Hanna, and Taylor Rose Haechten.

Allan’s funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 21, 2024, at 10:00 am at the chapel at Lange Funeral Home in Ballinger with Father Ariel Lagunilla presiding.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Cancer Society, in Allan’s honor.
