Alvin's personality shone through in all that he did. He was kind, helpful, and giving almost to a fault, with a sprinkle of mischief that added joy to those around him. A lover of old westerns and military movies, Alvin could often be found watching "Bonanza" or enjoying films starring John Wayne, for whom he had a large collection of memorabilia. He also embraced his hobbies with enthusiasm, particularly coin collecting, fishing, and tinkering with anything that caught his interest.
Fond memories cherished by his family was of Alvin playing basketball, dancing, fishing, going to eat pizza, creating lasting bonds and laughter. The time our aunt called to tattle on him for buying too many scratch-offs and to tell him to get off the roof.
He was proud of each of his children and the adults they evolved into, celebrating their accomplishments as his own.
