Andrew Villarreal

It is with deep sorrow and a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Andrew Villarreal, who left us on January 18, 2025, at the age of 41. He was born on March 2, 1983, to Juan and Dora Villarreal in Ballinger, Texas. He was a kind and gentle soul, beloved by his family and friends.

Andrew found joy in the simple pleasures of life. He was a passionate outdoorsman, often spending weekends fishing and camping in the beautiful Texas landscape. These moments brought him peace and happiness. His adventurous spirit and laughter will be dearly missed by those who had the privilege of sharing these experiences with him.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Rosenda and Antonia Villarreal and Fernando and Anita Martinez as well as Rosendo Villarreal Jr., his aunts Gloria Jaso, Maria Villarreal-Barrientos, and Minerva Villarreal-Castro.

He is survived by his devoted parents, Juan and Dora Villarreal, who will forever hold him in their hearts. He also leaves behind three brothers, John Villarreal (Karina), Luke Villarreal and Matthew Villarreal, as well as his sister, Linda Villarreal. He is also remembered fondly by his nieces, Kylie, Kendra, and Kamrie Villarreal, and his nephews, Caiden, Arnold, and Juan Mario Villarreal. Each of them held a special place in his heart. 

Andrew also leaves behind uncles; Rey Martinez (Janie), Oscar Martinez (Maggie), Fernando Martinez Jr., Jessie Martinez (Vickie), Roger Martinez (Cynthia), Joe Martinez (Jovita), Johnny Martinez (Juana), Michael Martinez, Martin Martinez, and Jose Rene Villarreal (Lupe) and aunts; Frances Quirino (Junior), Mary Lou Gauna (Erasmo), Leticia Reyes (Johnny), Gloria Villarreal-Reyna, and Teresa Villarreal-Alvarez. He is also survived by numerous cousins and friends, with whom he shared countless memories and adventures with.

Andrew's life was full of love and laughter, and he leaves behind a legacy of compassion that will continue to inspire those he left behind. 

A rosary will be held for Andrew on Tuesday, January 28, 2025, at 6:00pm at Lange Funeral Home.
