Armando "Coach" Bosquez Medina

Armando “Coach” Bosquez Medina, 73, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 17, 2022, surrounded by his loved ones at his home in Miles, Texas.

Armando was born February 15,1949 to Juan Medina & Belia Bosquez in Ciudad Acuna Coahuila.  He came to America at a young age and he enlisted in the Army on June 5, 1968. Armando served in Vietnam and was a Purple Heart Recipient before he was honorably discharged on February 10, 1971, as a sergeant. After his discharge, he joined his family in Crosbyton where he later met the love of his life, Susie Garcia at the young age of 27. They later married on October 29 th, 1987 at St Joseph Catholic Church in Crosbyton, Tx. Together they had 3 children Nick, Sam & Amanda. In 1988 they made the move to Miles, Texas to raise their family.  Armando enjoyed raising his chickens but most of all spending time with his grandkids. Coach will be most fondly remembered for his sense of humor.

He is preceded in death by his Father Juan Medina his Mother Belia Bosquez, his sisters Maria Medina & Tish Medina.

Armando is survived by his wife Susie Medina of Miles, Sons Nick Medina of Miles Tx & Sam Medina and Wife Cassandra of Rowena, Daughter Amanda Medina and boyfriend Roger of Miles Tx, and 10 grandchildren Desiree, Damian, Devin, Dillon, Connor, Deanna, Grace, Shyanne, Matthew, Cain Medina. His brothers Ambrose Medina of Miles Tx & Rogelio Medina of Ballinger Tx & Ruben Medina of Austin Tx Sisters Dora Zimmerman of Ballinger Tx & Adela Fira of Del Rio Tx, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

The family wishes to thank Encompass Health, Caprock Home Health, and Ballinger Hospice for their services.

A memorial service for Coach will be held on Thursday, March 3, 2022, at 2:00 pm at the chapel at Lange Funeral Home in Ballinger, Texas with Marty Akins officiating.  A private family burial will occur at a later date.  Honorary pallbearers are Pancho Barco, Beaver Garcia, Felipe Lara, and Antonio "Cowboy" Guajardo.
