Barbara J. Cornett

Barbara J. Cornett, 86, of Ballinger passed away Friday, November 6, 2020, at her residence.

She was born on January 7, 1934, in Los Angeles, California to James E. and Jane (Terry) Bearden.  She was married to Virgil Paul Cornett, in Welch, Texas on November 30, 1952. Barbara was a florist at Shirley’s Floral, for 25 years. Along with her passion for floral design, she loved knitting, crocheting, and spending time with her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband, Virgil.

Barbara is survived by her sons, Terry Cornett of Oregon, Ron Cornett of Ballinger; and daughter, Cindy Dahlberg and husband Dan of Ballinger; grandchildren, Britt Reams and wife Sarah, Rachel Reams and husband Jay, Clint Cornett and wife Crystal, Charlie Cornett, Clayton Hare and wife Jessica, Ethan Hare, Taylor Hare and wife Valencia, Christina Cornett, Caroline Cornett and husband Tolga, Benjamin Cornett, Troy Rigel and fiancé Ashley; 13 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild; brothers, Jimmy Bearden and wife of New York, and David Bearden of France.

Graveside services will be held Monday, November 9, 2020 at 2:00 at Belvedere Memorial Park Cemetery in San Angelo with Max Pratt officiating.

The family requests in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Ballinger Humane Society or your local charity of choice.
