Barbara Joan Lankford

Barbara was born December 4, 1933 in Runnels County, Texas to James T. (Jim) Berry and Virginia Odom Berry. She married L.K. Lankford, Jr. on February 3, 1952 in Ballinger. Barbara and her husband owned and operated several different construction related businesses in Lubbock over their forty-two year career before retiring to Ballinger.

Barbara was preceded in death by a son, Lamar Kevin Lankford, and her husband of sixty-four years, L.K. Lankford.

Survivors include a daughter, Kenan Gilbert and her husband, Ronnie of Lubbock, a son, Scott Lankford of Lubbock, a granddaughter, Kenley Skinner and her husband, Matt of Colorado, a grandson, Lex Curry and his wife, Robin of Lubbock, a great-grandson, King Skinner, and a brother, David Berry and his wife, Ann of Abilene, Texas.

Graveside services will be held at 11:30 am Friday, January 24, 2025 at Crews Cemetery with Max Pratt officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to Ninth Street Church of Christ, 1100 N. 9 th St., Ballinger, Texas 76821, or a favorite charity.
