Barbara Ann Mcnaley Odom

Barbara Ann Odom, 78, of Ballinger, Texas, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loved ones on Sunday, May 14, 2023, in Rowena.

She was born on July 12, 1944, in California, to Clarence and Laverne (Conley) McNaley. Barbara married Ed Odom, on March 31, 1964, in Ballinger and together they shared 38 years before his passing in 2003. Over the years, together they operated the Classic Inn Motel and the Ballinger Wrecking Service. She was an attendant at IGA for 13 years and employed at the local Sears and Roebuck, but her most important role was that of Mother and Mimi. Barbara loved her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Barbara is preceded in death by her parents; husband Ed; and brother, Everett “Butch” McNaley.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are children, Becky Kresta and husband Timmy and Jay Odom; grandchildren, Dustin Kresta, and wife Stephanie, Skylar Odom, Shalyn Odom, and R.J. Odom; great-grandchildren, Hunter and Kason, and Ella; brothers Bobby McNaley and wife Cindy, and Ronnie McNaley; special niece and sidekick, Donna Whitlock; and numerous other nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews.

A time of visitation will be held at Lange Funeral Home on Wednesday, May 17, 2023, from 6:00-7:00 pm. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 18, 2023, at 10:00 am, at Lange Funeral Home Chapel, with Myron Halford officiating., Interment will follow at Old Runnels Cemetery.
