Barbara Louann Stoker

Barbara Louann Stoker, 76, of Ballinger, Texas, passed away peacefully at her home on Thursday, March 4, 2021.

She was born on September 10, 1944, to Charlie Bowlin and Juanita Ione (Wilson) Harston in Lubbock, Texas.  She moved to Ballinger in 1997 and worked for 18 years for the Runnels County Sheriff’s Office as a jailer.  On February 4, 2002, she married Dan Stoker, and together they shared 19 beautiful years together. She was known for her love of hummingbirds, but above all things she loved her family, and anything that she and Dan did together.  They were practically inseparable.

Louann is preceded in death by her parents Charlie and Juanita, her brother Kenneth Harston, her son Harvey Jr., and daughter Kimberly Wellman.

She is survived by her husband Dan, her daughter Edna Dolinsek of San Angelo, her son Warren Stoker of Austin, and her brothers Ronnie Harston of Lubbock and Richard Harston of Zapata, Texas.   Louann is also dearly remembered by her grandchildren Christopher Tindell, Richard Tindell, Angela Hudson, DeAnna Hudson, Johnathon Ramirez, Destiny Ramirez, Hannah Stoker, and her 8 great-grandchildren.

A visitation for Louann will be held on Sunday, March 7, 2021, from 6:00 – 7:30 pm at Lange Funeral Home in Ballinger.  Her graveside service will follow on Monday, March 8, 2021, at 2:00 pm at Old Runnels Cemetery with Max Pratt officiating.
