Bill W. Jones

Billy Wesley Jones, age 79, of Coleman, TX. passed away on Oct. 22, 2022, at Hendricks Hospital in Abilene, TX.

Bill was born on Jan. 8, 1943, in Ballinger, TX. to Wesley Coleman Jones and Jimmie Ella Baker.

On July 23, 1984, he married Vondane Robinson in Ballinger, TX. They shared 38 years together.

At the time of his death, Bill was still employed as the Chief Appraiser-Tax Assessor-Collector for Coleman County, TX. Bill was the longest-sitting Chief Appraiser in Texas. He served for over 37 years in Coleman County, Tx.

Born and raised a proud Ballinger Bearcat. He loved to talk about his football and basketball days as a Bearcat. Bill took pride in being the best in every aspect of his life.

Survivors include daughters; Shamone Minzenmayer (Brian), Shannon Parrish (Howard), grandchildren; Kevin and Kelsey Minzenmayer, Brittany and Bethany Parrish, daughter; Melissa Benson-Brown (Scott), grandchildren; James Thurman, Mary Walsh, great-grandson; Lemmy Thurman

Graveside services will be held Thursday, October 27, 2022, at 2:00 P.M., at Evergreen Cemetery, Ballinger, TX.  Max Pratt will be officiating.
