Billy Wayne Neal

Billy Wayne Neal, 80, passed away at Evergreen Healthcare Center in Burkburnett, Texas on Monday, May 30, 2022.

Billy was born in Dublin, Texas to Harvey and Lucille (Tucker) Neal on June 3, 1941.  He grew up farming and worked as a general laborer and in the oil field his entire life.  In the latter part of his life, he lived with his brother Buddy in Coleman, Texas where you could see them riding their bikes everywhere they needed to go.

Billy is survived by his children, Timothy Neal and wife Paula from Chattanooga, Oklahoma, and Jodie Neal and wife Christina of Joplin, Missouri; the mother of his children, Ann Neal; his grandchildren Adgie, Augustus, Faith, Uriah; and one great-grandchild that’s on its way.  He is also survived by his brother Isaac Buddy Spikes of Jacksboro, Texas, and sisters, Linda Jennings of San Angelo, Texas, and Kay Minter of Shreveport, Louisiana.

Billy is preceded in death by his parents, his infant son Jason Lee Neal, and his brother Kenneth Neal.  He is also preceded in death by the man who raised him as his own from the age of five, Witt Richard Spikes.

Interment will be at Counts Cemetery at 10 am, Thursday, June 2, 2022, with Buddy Miller sharing a few words.
