Brent Mitchell Rice

Brent Mitchell Rice, 73, of Ballinger, Texas, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 23, 2024 at Ballinger Healthcare and Rehabilitiation. 

He was born on July 28, 1951 to Jerrell and June (Mitchell) Rice in Brady, Texas. He was a 1970 graduate of Junction High School and a 1974 graduate of Angelo State University.

After graduating from school at Angelo State University he instead took a different route from his college degree and decided to keep on a path he had started as a young man. He was a finish carpenter he created masterpieces with his hands through working in construction all over San Angelo that will stand the test of time. 

He is preceded in death by his parents Jerrell and June Rice.

Brent is survived by his daughter Michal Carthel of Lubbock, grandsons Cooper Carthel, Brooks Carthel, and Grey Smith of Lubbock, and his sisters Jerrie Wiley and Susan Britton of Ballinger.

A graveside service will be in Rochelle Cemetery at a later date.
