Carolyn Kay (Gurley) Rieken, 78, of Ballinger, Texas, passed away Thursday, August 31, 2023, at her residence.
Kay was born on January 28, 1945, to George and Florene (Robbins) Gurley, in Ballinger. She married her sweetheart of 57 years, Jimmie Rieken, on June 17, 1966, in Ballinger.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Jimmie, and sisters, Ginger Lee and Twila Gurley.
Kay is survived by her sons, Jay Rieken and wife Vicki, Jody Rieken, Kerry Rieken and wife Abri; grandchildren Chance Rieken, Chase Bowman, and wife Amber, James Bowman, Daniel Rieken; great-grandchildren Brooke, Rachel, and Raylan Bowman.
Graveside services will be held Tuesday, September 5, 2023, at 10:00 a.m., at Evergreen Cemetery in Ballinger, with Marty Akins officiating.
