Clayton Earl Davis

April 21, 1941 — June 15, 2021

Clayton Earl Davis, 80, of Ballinger, Texas passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 15, 2021.

Clayton was born on April 21, 1941, to Clayton Richard and Juanita (Bruton) Davis in Los Angeles, California.  After graduating from Ballinger High School, Clayton went on to serve honorably in the United States Military for four years in the Air Force.  Clayton worked for Mueller’s Inc in sales for over 20 years until his retirement in his 60’s.  Besides his strong work ethic, he enjoyed tinkering in his workshop and designing, building, and using computerized woodworking and metalworking equipment.  He recognized the importance of passing down these skills to younger generations and spent many hours teaching and working with his children and grandchildren to instill in them the values and abilities that he’d found to be important in his own life.

He is preceded in death by his parents Clayton and Juanita Davis, his first wife Donna, his daughter Tammy Lynn, brothers Malcom and Milton Davis, and his sister Doris Cadenhead.

Clayton is survived by his sons Mark Davis of Missouri, Daniel Davis of Texas, and Adam Davis of Pennsylvania.  He is also survived by his brother Paul Davis of Stanton, Texas and his sister Linda Wood and husband Rob of London, Ohio.   Clayton will also be remembered by his 6 grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Ballinger High School's industrial arts department or shop department in Clayton’s honor.

The family wishes to thank the staff of Central Texas Nursing and Rehabilitation for their skilled, considerate, and friendly care while Clayton was a patient in the facility.
