Danzel Lois Stokes, 88, of Ballinger passed away Thursday, November 8, 2018 at Ballinger Memorial Hospital.
She was born September 5, 1930 to Horace and Irma (Haynes) in Chester, Oklahoma. After college, she worked for Southwestern Bell as an operator.
Danzel is preceded in death by her husband, William Everett Stokes; a son, Brent; her parents; and ten brothers and sisters.
She is survived by her son Vance Stokes and wife, Lori of Ballinger; her daughter, Delana Gales of Odessa; grandchildren, Maggie Stokes, Sarah Stokes, Addison Stokes, Emilee Stokes all of Ballinger and Thomas Glaes and Paxon Gales, both of Odessa; four great-grandchildren, Christian Turner, Aiden Cobos, Wyatt Turner, and Blaine Turner; and a brother, Frank Haynes of Lefors, TX.
Services will be held at 2:00 pm on Monday, November 12 at Glory Road Cowboy Church with Myron Halford officiating. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, November 13 at the Sunset Memorial Garden Cemetery in Odessa.
The family would like to thank Dr. Bundrant and the staff at Ballinger Memorial Hospital for their kind and compassionate care of Danzel.
