Darren Lynk Engle

Darren Lynk Engle, 57, of Paint Rock, TX, passed away at Shannon Medical Center in San Angelo, Texas, on June 30, 2024. He was born in Lubbock, TX, on October 28, 1966 to William and Cheryl Engle. Darren graduated from Paint Rock High School in 1985 and continued his education at Texas Tech University.

Darren was a hardworking and dedicated individual who found joy in farming and caring for his livestock. He took pride in his work and really cared about his community. Throughout his life, Darren was known for his love of animals, particularly his beloved companion and best friend, Boo. He had a great sense of humor and was a good neighbor to many in his community. In December, Darren celebrated three significant events - becoming an uncle to his nieces and nephew, Mandy, Logan, and Keegan, who all share December birthdays.

Darren was preceded in death by his parents, William and Cheryl Engle.

He is survived by his brother, Darrel Engle and wife Christi, sister Danielle Real and husband Brett, niece Mandy Engle, nephew Logan Engle, and niece Keegan Real. Darren's impact on his family and community will always be remembered.

A memorial service for Darren will be held on Wednesday, July 3, 2024, at 10:00 am at the chapel at Lange Funeral Home. Please join us as we celebrate his life and the lasting impact, he had on those around him. A private family burial will take place at a later date.

He dedicated his time to supporting local 4H and FFA projects and encouraged others to do the same in lieu of flowers.
