Dorine Sarah Halfmann Moeller

September 18, 1932 — February 26, 2024

Dorine Sarah Halfmann Moeller, 91, of Rowena, Texas, passed away peacefully on Monday, February 26, 2024.

She was born on September 18, 1932, to W.J. and Ella (Ocker) Halfmann in Ballinger, Texas. Dorine married the love of her life, Maurice John Moeller, on November 11, 1953, in Olfen, Texas.  They shared 67 years of marriage before his passing in 2021.

Dorine was deeply rooted in her faith serving her church and her community through the many organizations and societies she was associated with.  As a member of Saint Joseph Catholic Church in Rowena, she served with the Catholic Daughters of America holding multiple offices including District Deputy, and was a member of Saint Ann’s Altar Society. Throughout her life she enjoyed sharing her God–given talents and love of music as an organist and choir member.  Gifted with a servant's heart, she faithfully delivered meals on wheels. Above all, Dorine loved her family. She was a devoted wife and mother, Granny and Great-Granny.  She was a role model to those who knew her.   Besides serving her family and her community she also was an amazing seamstress with a love of embroidery and quilting.  Known for being super sweet with her contagious smile, Dorine also had a feisty fun-loving side.

Dorine is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Maurice, her siblings, Lydia Halfmann, Agnes Fuchs (Arnold), Erwin Halfmann (Doris), Norbert Halfmann, and brother-in-law Alfred Multer.

She is survived by her daughter Sharon Clifton, son Richard Moeller (Joanna), son Glen Moeller (Brenda), daughter Anne Halfmann (Steve), and daughter Juanita Casarez (Rey).  Dorine is greatly treasured by her 12 grandchildren: Jonathan Clifton, Doug Clifton (Laura), Emily Moeller, Cody Moeller, Beth Owens (Taylor), Kendra Jones (Ryan), Lauren Conaway (Kyle), Jessica Schwertner (Mike), Justin Halfmann, Damien Halfmann, Bryan Halfmann (Abby), Isaac Casarez and 15 great-grandchildren.  She is also survived by her sister Mary Lou Multer, sister-in-law Lucille Halfmann, and sister-in-law Ruby Hlavinka.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Dorine’s honor to Meals on Wheels or a charity of your choice.
