Dorothy Dottie Butler

Dorothy “Dottie” (Moore) Butler passed on to her heavenly home on Thursday, November 7, 2019, in Round Rock, Texas.

Dottie was born in Wingate, Texas on December 31, 1922 to John Bunyon and Minnie Lee (Dunn) Moore.  She married Sherman “Bud” Butler in Kansas City, Missouri in 1945.  Together they owned and operated clothing stores in Border, Amarillo, and Canyon until 1978.

Dottie Spent the last 16 years before retirement working at Ballinger National Bank and was a member of the Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband Bud and a sister Johnnie Legg.

Dottie is survived by her twin sons Mike and wife Marilyn Butler, and Steve and wife Barbara all of Horseshoe Bay, Texas. A niece, Debby Legg and her son, Cameron and a nephew Barry Legg and wife, Rhonda and their daughter Candice also survive along with Dottie’s faithful companion, Sadie.

Visitation for Dottie will be held on Monday, November 11 from 1:00 to 2:00 pm with a memorial service to follow at the Lange Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Ferris Akins presiding.
