Dustin Scott Watkins

Dustin Scott Watkins, also known as Dusty, 44, of San Angelo, Tx, passed away on Saturday, July 4, 2020.

Dustin was born on November 20, 1975, to Bryan Scott Watkins and Cheri Theresa Jackson in Ballinger, Texas. He was a gardener and connoisseur of the green and one of the most caring and kind people you could ever meet. He was also a geek for any Ancient History and Greek Mythology along with Star Wars, Clint Eastwood, and the chameleons that he raised. Most of all, Dustin loved his family, especially his Daughters and his Best friend Dallas his dog. He is preceded in death by his brother Quincy Watkins.

Dustin is survived by his mother Cheri Watkins of San Angelo; father Scott Watkins and wife Stormie Watkins of Ballinger; his daughters Destyne Watkins of Georgetown, Haley Cherryhomes of San Angelo, and Taylor Watkins of San Angelo; Brother Jack Watkins and wife Michelle with two sons and four daughters of Ballinger, Sister Randi Coalson and husband Chris with three daughters and one son of Louisiana, and sister Sheena Schwertner with one son and one daughter also of Louisiana.  He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Dustin will be honored at his service by his honorary pallbearers and dear friends Nathan Gallant, Patrick McMillan, Chance Ames, Wesley Hill, Gary Bryant, Wesley Watkins, Dylan Watkins, Ray Reyes, Bryan Koonce, Vince Mendez, and Todd Alderman.

A funeral service will be held for Dustin on Wednesday, July 8, 2020, at 2:00 pm at the chapel at Lange Funeral Home in Ballinger, Texas.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to ProjectCBD in Dustin’s Honor.
