Eddie Lorene Buxton

Eddie Lorene Buxton, 74, of Ballinger, Texas, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 3, 2021.

She was born on Tuesday, February 11, 1947, to Wood and Irene (Minshew) Gleghorn in Ballinger.  Eddie graduated from Ballinger High School and attended some college.  On April 19, 1989, she married Edgar Buxton in California and together they shared over 37 blissful years.  Eddie was a friend to all who knew her, she worked for several years as a bookkeeper for multiple local businesses.  She and Edgar moved back to Ballinger in 1993 and have been here ever since.  Eddie was a brilliant woman that enjoyed spending time with her friends, family, and husband.  She was a strong woman, battling several health problems for over 15 years.  During that time, she kept her faith and prayed daily to God.

Eddie is preceded in death by her parents Wood and Irene Gleghorn and her sister Barbara Fox.

She is survived by her husband Edgar, her son Jerry Wheeless and wife Denise of Morehead, Kentucky, her grand-daughter Heidi Lee Wheeless, and her sister Betty Tollet of Hawaii.  Eddie is also survived by her stepchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Grace Fellowship Church in Ballinger, Texas, in Eddie’s honor.

At this time there will be no additional services for Eddie.
