Eddie Jesse Day

Eddie Jesse Day, 69, formerly of Winters, met his Heavenly Father on Friday, February 24, 2023.

He was born on Saturday, May 16, 1953, to Edward and Lucille (Bates) Day, in Coleman Texas. He was a graduate of Winters High School and spent much of his life working as a truck driver and working in the oilfield.  Eddie loved his family, hunting, fishing, and looking for arrowheads on the farm.

Eddie is preceded in death by his parents, and sister, Geraldine Broyles.

He is survived by his children; son, Terry Day and wife Sammie of Ballinger, and daughter, Faye Murrell and husband Jason of Grape Creek; grandchildren, Dusty Day and wife Barbara, Kacie Day, Cory Day, Haylea Murrell, Jakob Jones, and Hannah Jones; great-grandchildren, Mason Day, Brantley Day, Rex Day, and Karolyn Jones; sister, Katherine Autenrieth; brother-in-law Ronnie Broyles; nephews, Mike Autenrieth and Edward Paul Autenrieth, Paul Broyles; niece, Valerie Wise; and many more nieces and nephews.

The family will hold a private memorial service at a later date.
