Edna Summers

Edna E Summers, 88, of Paint Rock, Texas, passed away on Monday, November 23, 2020, at Shannon Medical Center South in San Angelo, Texas.

Edna was born on January 1, 1932, to John and Margaret (Bauer) Keller in Scotts Bluff, Nebraska.  She married her first husband, Marvin John Allbright Sr. in July of 1947 in Yakima, WA and he preceded her in death on December 9, 1989.  She later remarried to Jodie Summers on  May 7, 1993, in Las Vegas, NV who also preceded her in death on September 25, 2003.

Edna was a member of the WIBC (Women’s International Bowling Congress) and the First Baptist Church of Paint Rock.  She loved bowling, knitting, and crocheting, gardening, fishing, but above all her beautiful family whom she deeply cherished.

She is preceded in death by her parents John and Margaret Keller; both of her husbands Marvin Allbright Sr and Jodie Summers, her brothers Harry and Eugene Keller, her sister Marjorie Keller, granddaughter Cheyenne Bednar, grandson Christopher Roper, and great-granddaughter Kalila Allbright.

Edna is survived by her children; son Marvin John Allbright Jr. and wife Kathy of Waco, son Wayne Allbright of Paint Rock, daughter Shelia Dean and husband Eddie of Carlsbad, stepdaughter Crystal Bednar of Dallas, stepdaughter Bridgette Bednar and husband VanZandt (Bam-Bam) of Vancourt, and stepson Blaine Summers of Brownwood.  She is also survived by her brother Don Petersen and wife Judy of Utah and 16 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, and 11 great-great-grandchildren.

A memorial service for Edna will be held on Monday, November 30, 2020, at 1:00 PM at the First United Methodist Church of Paint Rock with Pastor Mike Thomson officiating.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Concho Valley Paws, ASPCA, or a charity of your choice in memory of Edna and her love of animals.
