Elena R Rodriguez

Elena Rivera Rodriguez, 84, of Ballinger, TX went to be with our Lord on Tuesday, November 24, 2020, surrounded by her family and loved ones.

Elena was born in Red Rock, TX to Juan and Angelita Rivera.  Elena dedicated her life to raising her 12 children with her loving husband John.  Our mom loved spending time with her family, sitting around the table talking, drinking coffee, and eating cookies or whatever was on the menu that day.  We will love and miss you so much, grandma.

She is survived by children, Frances Aguilera and husband Robert of Ballinger, TX; Cecil Rodriguez and wife Tammy of Mingus, TX; Frank Rodriguez of Temple, TX; Jo Fields and husband John of Rockport, TX; Margaret Lopez and husband Rudy of Ballinger, TX; Paul Rodriguez and wife Lisa of Texas; Sarah Rodriguez and wife Pam of Ballinger, TX; Carmen Rodriguez of Ballinger, TX; Joe Rodriguez and wife Lori of San Angelo, TX; and 24 grandchildren, 56 great-grandchildren, and five great-great-grandchildren (give or take a few).

Elena is preceded in death by her husband John Rodriguez, son Johnny Rodriguez and wife Maryann, son David Rodriguez, granddaughter Tammy Rodriguez, daughter Elena Rodriguez, grandson Paul Aguirre, granddaughter Angie Vasquez, grandson Abdias Castillo III; and daughter-in-law Tina Rodriguez.

Special thanks to baby sister Carmen Rodriguez who was Mama’s special caregiver through the years.  Special thanks to Ballinger Health Care & Rehab who cared for our mother for the last three years.  Thank you to Hospice of Ballinger for helping take care of Mama in the last few days, making it possible to bring our mother home.
