Eloisa Rodriguez (Gaga), 70, of Ballinger, Texas, passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones on Monday, November 22, 2021.
She was born on February 7, 1951, to Sebastian and Manuela (Martinez) Rodriguez in Longhorn, Texas. Eloisa worked for several years as a nanny to many children that she loved dearly as her own. Her pride and joy were her grandchildren and her family. After her mother’s passing, she also became the matriarch of her family and was the glue that kept them all together. She was there for all her family to give advice, shoulder to cry on, and loved them all unconditionally.
Eloisa is preceded in death by her parents Sebastian and Manuela Rodriguez, her brothers Rudy and Gilbert Rodriguez, and her sisters Carmen Naranjo and Maria Martinez.
She is survived by her daughter Melissa Gonzales of Kyle, Texas, daughter Mary Cortez and husband Rene of Ballinger, daughter Eloisa Franke of San Angelo, Texas, grandchildren Gabriella Cortez, Trista Cortez, Briley Franke (Ligo Rodriguez), Eloisa is also survived by her great-grandchildren Oliva Rodriguez and Baby Khloe Rodriguez that will be born in December. She will be dearly remembered by brothers Pilar (Gloria) Rodriguez, Tudy (Esther) Rodriguez, Roger (Mary) Rodriguez, Oscar Rodriguez, Joe Rodriguez, and sisters Angie Velasquez, Julia Quintero, Rita Bastardo, and Leonor Perales. Eloisa also leaves behind a special cousin Vincente Martinez, and numerous nephews, nieces, and friends.
A visitation for Eloisa will be held on Friday, November 26, 2021, at the chapel at Lange Funeral Home in Ballinger from 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm. Her graveside service will follow on Saturday, November 27, 2021, at 2:00 pm at Greenleaf Cemetery in Brownwood, Texas with Robert Pena, officiating.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of choice in Eloisa’s honor.
The family wishes to thank Dr. Alexander and his team for their tender love and care for Eloisa over the last several years.
