Emilia Rangel

Emilia Teresa Cardon Rangel, 88, of Ballinger passed away Saturday, April 8, 2023, surrounded by her family.

She was born on Saturday, January 5, 1935, to Jose and Facunda (Zapote) Cardon, in El Deca Cardonal, Mexico.  Emilia married Modesto Rangel and they shared 34 years together before he passed away in 1990.

Emilia was a homemaker, a very good cook, and a good Mother and Grandmother.  She loved flowers and grew up in the country. She always made sure that when visitors came, she fed them well. Emilia cherished the friendship she had with Lucy, Iris, Olivia; and her special nephews from Mexico and Florida.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; sons Gabriel Rangel and German Rangel; and four siblings from Mexico.

Emilia is survived by her daughters, Carolina Lara, Yolanda Lara, and Patricia Mundo; and sons, Modesto Rangel, and Martin Rangel; 31 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.

There will be a time of visitation at Lange Funeral Home on Tuesday, April 11, 2023, from 5:30-7:00 pm.  Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, April 13, 2023, at 10:00 at Lange Funeral Home Chapel and interment will follow at Latin American Cemetery.
