Estilene Robertson

Marion Estilene Robertson, age 80, of Paint Rock, Texas, passed away peacefully on October 15, 2022, with family by her side.

Estilene was born on August 18, 1942, in Booneville, Arkansas to Marion and Mollie Williams. On January 9, 1960, she married the love of her life, Robert Wayne Robertson.  They shared 49 years together before his passing in 2009.  Estilene was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, and sister.  She was a devoted homemaker, cashier, childcare worker, and served in the Food and Nutrition department for the Paint Rock Independent School District for 13 years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Paint Rock for over 50 years.  She taught Sunday School classes, Vacation Bible School, and watched the little ones in the nursery over time. She was a member of the Paint Rock Eastern Star for over 30 years holding almost every position in the organization. However, the things that gave her the most joy were her kids and making others feel special.  Very few days passed that Estilene wasn’t writing or calling family or friends to wish them a “Happy Birthday” on birthdays or “Congratulations” on anniversaries.  In the early years, she would send cards, however; later when her vision and handwriting hampered her, she would phone them.

Estilene is preceded in death by her husband Robert Wayne Robertson, her parents Marion and Mollie Williams, and her brother Frank Williams.

She is survived by her children, daughter Elaine Reno and husband Richard of Olney, Texas, son Blaine Robertson and wife Charlotte of Dublin, Texas, son Houston Robertson and wife Desiree of Wimberley, Texas, and one sister Rita Richards and husband Don of St. Clair, Michigan. She is also survived by her grandchildren John Richmond, David Robertson, Rainey Robertson, Mailea Lemus, and Austin Robertson. Great-grandchildren include Noah Richmond, Robert Pennycuff, Remington Robertson, and Lucus Lemus. Estilene had numerous nieces and nephews.

A public viewing will be on Tuesday, October 18, from 8 am to 4 pm at Lunn Funeral Home in Olney, Texas.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 19, from 5 to 7 pm at Lange Funeral Home in Ballinger, Texas.

Graveside services will be on Thursday, October 20 at 1 pm at the Paint Rock Cemetery in Paint Rock, Texas.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Emergency Medical Service or Meals on Wheels in Olney, Texas, or the animal shelter of your choice.
