Fred Allen Brookshire

Fred Allen Brookshire, 76, passed away on Saturday, March 28, 2020, at his home in Ballinger, Texas.

Fred was born on September 27, 1943, to Jack and Ola Lea (Allen) Brookshire in Ballinger, Texas.   He married Nancy Elizabeth Hicks on June 19, 1961, in Tahoka, Texas.  He took pride in his work in auto body repair and was a member of the Baptist Church.

Fred is preceded in death by his parents Jack and Ola Brookshire.

He is survived by his wife Nancy; his daughter Sandra Behne and Husband Jimmy of Ballinger, his son Kenneth Brookshire and Partner Patrick of Ballinger, and son Steven Brookshire and wife Michelle of Odessa.  He is also survived by his grandchildren Jeremy, Vivien, Natasha, Joey, Jared, Eryn, Shawna, and Bethany.  Fred is also survived by his great-grandchild Jesse Lee; his siblings Jean Redman of Sonora, Weldon Brookshire of Pecos, Alton Brookshire of Odessa, Joyce Snapp of Midland, Halley Brookshire of Pecos, and Betty Barker of Midland.

Visitation for Fred will be held on Monday, March 30, 2020, from 6:00-7:00 pm at the chapel at Lange Funeral Home in Ballinger and will be limited to 10 people at a time.  A private family graveside service will be held the following day on Tuesday, March 31, 2020, at 11:00 am at Norwood Cemetery with Ryan Matlock presiding.
