Fred William Dahmann

July 23, 1933 — August 20, 2021

Born to Fritz and Frieda Wilke Dahmann in Bethel, TX on July 23, 1933. He was 88 at the time of his passing. His family moved to Ballinger around 1946. He graduated from Ballinger High School in 1950 followed by 2 years of service to his country in the Army and served several years in the National Guard. After discharge from the Army, he met the love of his life, Dorothy Ellen Cox, in May 1959 at Lofton's. They were married on November 29, 1959. They lived on 8th St in Ballinger while Fred worked in the oilfield from 1952 to 1965. Fred went to work for the Postal Service in 1965. Fred & Dorothy raised their 3 children on Largent Avenue in Ballinger. After retirement in1992, he & Dorothy moved to the Lutheran Sunset Retirement home in Clifton, TX, on his birthday in 2010. He spent his final months at his daughter & son-in-law's home in Austin, TX where he was constantly surrounded by all of his family.

He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years; their 3 children, Judith Belle Aguirre, David William Allan Dahmann & Marion Alice Dahmann all of Austin, TX. He has 4 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-granddaughter and 10 nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his four sisters: Elizabeth McConnel, Louise King, Dorothy Jones & Alma Irwin.
