Gabriel "Cheeseburger" Fuentes

It is with heavy hearts and great sadness that we announce the passing of Gabriel Eric Fuentes, known to many as “Cheeseburger,” a loving husband, dedicated community member, and cherished friend. Gabriel was born on April 23, 1976, and left this world on October 10, 2023, leaving behind a legacy of kindness and compassion.

Gabriel was an exceptional individual who used his time and energy to benefit others. He had a deep sense of devotion to his church, where he spent countless hours volunteering and lending a helping hand to those in need. Tirelessly, Gabriel worked to improve the lives of those around him, selflessly giving of himself whenever and wherever he could.

To all who knew him, Gabriel was a gentle soul, one in a million. His warm smile, genuine concern for others, and unwavering support made him a pillar of strength for his family and friends. Whether offering a listening ear or a helping hand, he always made everyone feel seen, valued and loved.

Gabriel's wife, Samantha Fuentes, was the light of his life. After a 5-year courtship, they got married on July 23, 2022, in Ballinger, Texas. Their love was an inspiration to all. In their years together, they shared a bond that was unmatched, offering each other unwavering support through life's joys and challenges.

Gabriel’s legacy will forever live on in the hearts of his loved ones. He leaves behind his wife, Samantha Fuentes, daughters, Naomi Fuentes, Natalie Lopez, and Annalissie Lopez, his sons, Julian Martinez, Christian Landeros, Gabriel Eric Fuentes, Jr., Zachary Ely, and Raylan Ely, five grandchildren and one on the way, his sisters Becky Fuentes and Lydia Ramirez and brother Adrian Antonio Fuentes. He also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews, and his “MIL” Pifi Torres and “Grandpa”, as well as a huge extended family of friends and loved ones.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 28, 2023, at Lange Funeral Home Chapel at 2:00 PM.

His loss will be deeply felt, but his spirit will live on in the hearts of all those he touched.
