Gayle Ann Hovorak

Gayle Ann Hovorak, 76, of San Angelo, Texas passed away Monday, June 26, 2023, at Hendrick Medical Center, in Abilene.

She was born Thursday, October 31, 1946, in Ballinger, to John and Alexia Hovorak. Gayle graduated from Paint Rock in 1965.  After graduation she began a career that lasted 36 years at Ethicon. She had a great passion for finding treasures by metal detecting, and was a longtime bookkeeper and caretaker of the Rowena Protestant Cemetery.

Gayle was preceded in death by her parents: John and Alexia Hovorak, brothers Jerry Hovorak and Ronald Hovorak; niece Trisha Hovorak; and great-nephew Jacob Hovorak.

Gayle is survived by her brother, Kirk Hovorak and his wife Cheryl of Christoval.  She also leaves behind her nephews Jonathan, Brian, and David; her nieces Cathryn and Alexia; and numerous great- nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Rowena Protestant Cemetery, 526 CR 255, Rowena, TX, 76875.

Graveside services will be held Saturday, July 8, 2023 at 10:00 am at the Rowena Protestant Cemetery in Rowena, Texas.
