Geraldine Hambright Lange, 97, of Ballinger, Texas, passed away Wednesday, December 21, 2022.
Geraldine was the first child born to Marvin and Inez (Taylor) Hambright. She was born on April 22, 1925, near Crews. Geraldine was a graduate of Crews High School and McMurry University.
She married George Lange on August 7, 1946, in Miles. They shared 65 years together when he passed on April 29, 2012. She taught school at Hatchel, Talpa, and Ballinger for thirty years when she retired in 1985 to have more time for family. Geraldine was a member of the First United Methodist Church, a lifetime member of the Retired Teachers Association, and a member of the Hospital Auxiliary for a number of years.
Geraldine is survived by her sons, Dennis and wife Jacque, of Kerrville, David, of Lubbock, Scott and wife Dana of Ballinger; daughter, Debra Tucker of San Angelo. 9 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by sisters, Christine Franks, Patsy Faubion, and Shirley Dyess and husband Mike, Sister-in-law Kay Stevens; and a number of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; brothers, Eldon, Bennie, and Cecil, son-in-law, Skeeter Tucker; brothers-in-law, Edd Franks, and Aubrey Faubion.
A visitation will be held at Lange Funeral Home on Thursday, December 29, 2022, from 6:00-7:30 pm. Funeral services will be held at The First Methodist Church in Ballinger, at 2:00 pm, on Friday, December 30, 2022, with interment to follow at Old Runnels Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the First Methodist Church.
